Friday 7 May we did our trip to Australia Zoo, this was brilliant! We got the bus and arrived there at 10am. We saw the main croc show and got to feed elephants, however our highlight was holding a koala! We have photos to prove it!!! There are loads of photos of the Irwin family but it is a cheery place! We walked past Terri - Steve's wife.
Saturday morning we went to Mooloolaba beach and then got on the Greyhound to Hervey Bay. We arrived here at about 9pm and went straight to the hostel.
Sunday morning we woke up extremely early as we were off to Fraser Island! We got to the island about 10am and it was raining!!! We found our driver and 4x4 bus, it looked like something you would travel across the moon in!!! First stop was Lake Basin and then did a boardwalk through the rainforest. We stopped to have lunch at Lake McKenzie. This was BEAUTIFUL!! We couldn't believe we were actually there we found ourselves getting really excited, we just wanted to run around on the white sand! The best thing was the sun came out! We spent the whole afternoon here eating cookies! We watched the sun set and headed back to our lodge to get showered and changed for dinner! We had dinner at the Dingo Bar and then headed to bed as had another early start.
Monday morning we had breakfast at 7am and drove to the north end of the island along 75 mile beach - this was fab. Me and Rachael were bouncing everywhere! We saw the Maheno shipwreck and then the Pinnacles Coloured Sands. We then went to The Champagne Pools - Mother Nature's Jacuzzi - although we were amazed by this considering the name! We took a short walk up Indian Head and the views were amazing. We had lunch sat on the beach and yes more cookies!! We did another walk through rainforests and along the beach, this was lovely. We used the hotel pool before dinner and then headed back to the main land at about 9pm.

Mum, Dad and Paul. Hi Girls. It all sounds great. Glad you enjoyed the Zoo? Did you get to hold any snakes? Take care both of you. Love, Mum, Dad and Paul. xxx
Tony and Sheila Did you manage to see any Dingoes on Fraser Island beach, or are they now being controlled to prevent eating tourists' cookies!
