24th we refueled the car at Eucla and headed for we weren't sure whether to go to Port Augusta or Kimba. Well we soon decided on Kimba as I wanted to stop at the lookouts on top of the Bunda cliffs as hadn't done it on our way out also I wanted to go into the head of the bight again.
So our 800 km trip today became close to 900 km again with a few more stops. So we did the 3 outlooks on top of the Bunda cliffs. They have made them alot more secure than whne we first visited them some 10 years ago. We then stoppe at theNullarbour roadhouse where Carey topped up the tank with the most expensive fuel for our whole trip. We then headed to the head of the bight. By this stage all our batteries were runging low on our cameras and phones which turned out to be a blessing. I was only given a half hour here as we needed the time to get to Kimba. We had aleady lost time coming across the border into south australia.
The Whales were as beautiful as the beginning of the trip. They were just laying around with their bubs. Ocassionally one would give a little wave. I have been here 3 times now and would go again. It is so relaxing and different each time.
We then cotinued our trip to kimba with a stop at Ceduna to refuel and a real coffee. The husband had been missing his South Australian coffees. Previous to this we had stopped at Nundroo but they didn't have hot coffee he had his first FU ice coffee for 6 weeks there.
Fom Ceduna we headed for KImba and our night stop. Time went quickly and the sun went down. Luckily he knows this stretch well. There was still plenty to see and thankfully nowhere did we see Roos.
So I had previously phone the Gateway hotel in KImba. So they had been expecting us at about 7.30pm. We weren't upgraded this time so got to see what the room was like we should of gotten on our way out. It wasn't to bad. Put our bags in and headed into the restaurant for tea. Another nice meal. Organised GFbread for breakfast and headed back to our room.
