Blog 88 This morning we woke up naturally, and mounted a bus with a 'short eat' bag of breakfast. A Sri Lankan toddler kept Jo entertained as far as Dambulla where we got off. Dambulla is famous for its cave temples which has loads of Buddha statues and other effigies in dimly lit caves. Pretty cool and after 30 minutes we'd seen it, so back to the bus and on to Kandy... Blog 87 The train ride was a gorgeous immersion into Sri Lanka life and the country. An early 5am start walking down the Colombo streets in the dull light from the street lamps and the train was only 10 minutes late at leaving so we counted ourselves lucky! Blog 86 Not such a great start to Sri Lanka. Camera stolen, no cheap accommodation, and very tired. We ended up in a YMCA for £13 for a room and discover in the lonely planet as 'This old YMCA is kind of depressing, but if you've been robbed and need a place to crash - or you're on a very tight budget -this could be it.'
