Waking up at 2:20 is quite difficult. But the sun is back and my shift is very calm in spite of the polar bear threat ;-) I go back to bed at 3:30 and waking up at 6 is (very) difficult again ! Though we have to be quick in order to be ready when the boat picks us up. Benoit tells us we are 3 hours late compared to "normal time" : it is actually 9 already ! We wake up at around 8:00. After breakfast, a briefing is made by Benoit. He gives one dry bag per person : everything should fit in it. He shows us how to use the alarm gun we will use during the nights. Flying over Svalbard before landing was amazing. Appearing from nowhere, this land covered with mountains and glaciers kept all its promises. Wonderful scenery from the sky.
