Day 325, 25 May 2013, Docked in Miami, Florida - Flew to Vegas, Baby! Wow - can't believe a week has passed on the high seas - we both feel like we're finally dive fit! Headed off the ship and entered the crazy world of Miami International Airport and after inordinate amounts of security, the peaceful oasis of the American Airlines Admiral's Club (never hurts to check if Qantas Club will get us in... bit hit and miss generally). Left at 11.30 am - which immediately turned into 8.30 am Vegas time - and touched down around 5 hours later... We can confirm the first slots machines in Vegas are in fact at the airport. Everywhere. Incredible. Vegas - Yes! Exciting? Yes! Hotel fabulous? Yes! (especially for the price... obviously think we'll be gambling at some point). Exhausted and flopping around like untrained seals with jet lag? You betcha! Managed to hike from MGM Signature to the MGM Grand and took in our first views of the strip - hey - What's the Statue of Liberty doing here? and the Brooklyn Bridge? - NYNY Casino of course. Managed to find some groceries - not at a mini-mart mind you, that's just for alcohol. Actually at Walgreens, our favourite pharmacy in the USA. Dragged tired wee selves back to hotel and for our first, amazing, exciting, brilliant night in Vegas - - - went to bed at 9 pm (or midnight as our clocks insisted on calling it). Tomorrow, the fun will begin in ernest... Fleetwood Mac anyone?
