Day 329, 29 May 2013, Las Vegas, Nevada - Ultra Tour of the Las Vegas Strip. Now not to flog a dead horse (harp on... go on about... or repeat ourselves....) BUT - we are only doing Vegas once and spending 3.5 hours cruising up and down the Strip in a stretch limo with Presidential Limos and chauffeur extraordinaire Otis is definitely the way to do it. We saw the Sirens of Treasure Island and the Pirate show (flash, bang, splash, burn and all done in glitzy bikinis - except for the men where rippling biceps were de riguer). We then jumped back in our ride and went next door to the Mirage for their famous volcano show (boom, burn, splash, fire, sizzle). Nursing preliminary flash burns from all the pyrotechnics (OK - almost!) we hit the Strip again and cruised past The Bellagio whilst watching their symphonic dancing fountains. Parking near the side we then waited a few minutes for the next show - with the Eiffel Tour in the background. Nice. Very Nice. Then it was a decent ride and a chance to imbibe some bubbles on the way out to the 1950s "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. I know... a neon sign... what's to see. Well it's an icon of Vegas and millions of people go there every year. So we did too - it was cool. Back in our sexy black stretch and it was all the way to the other end of town - the sublime to the ridiculous or the other way around perhaps - It was time for The Fremont Street Experience - The original Las Vegas Strip, waaaay downtown - the Golden Nugget, the Pioneer Club, the massive screen / roof covering an entire street with a sound and light show on the hour featuring The Doors. And a zipline. Squealing tourists rushing overhead every few seconds. Loud, Brash, Glitzy, Spangly, Overwhelming - And those are just the outfits the dancing girls were wearing. Tiddly, happy, completely Vegas'd out we were back in the back and en route down Wedding Chapel Alley before we know it - passed the spot where Bruce Willis and Demi Moore got married. Also Britney Spears. The Little White Wedding Chapel may be famous - but longevity of union is apparently not guaranteed! Yay. Hotel. Collapsed - completely, utterly, vegas'd, baby!
