Day 178, 29 November 2012, Final Ski Day... Must. Keep. Going. As predicted it turned out to be a stunning day. After a week of huffing and puffing in the super thin air (10,000 feet is probably the highest we skied), we're finally getting fit. Shame we're leaving tomorrow! Had a challenging morning with our various sore leg issues - but made 4 hours of tracks before we went in for lunch and called it a day. The bags have taken the opportunity to explode this week (7 nights in one place does that). Packing beckoned and once dealt with we chuffed off to the bar to see if the professional photographer had managed a nice shot or two on the mountains. And blast it, she had - well worth a few euros however to have some nice photos and snazzy postcards featuring US! Right then. Early to bed and early to rise makes it much more likely we'll catch our 3 trains tomorrow and survive 25 hours travel time before we fetch up at Fort William, Scotland. Probably a few more hours travel after that - train to Mallaig, ferry to Skye, bus to Portree and cab to Knott. Too tired to even consider how long that might take.
