Day 309, 9 May 2013, Day Trip to Key Colony Beach... Settling in to the keys lifestyle swimmingly. We find it fascinating to be in a chain of islands all connected by a single road - the "overseas highway" - gives island hopping new meaning. We drove down the keys to Marathon and stocked up on vital tourist brochures at their visitors' centre. Following a great recommendation from their staff we headed to Cabana Breezes restaurant at Key Colony Beach. Fish and chips and a frozen mango daiquiri overlooking this stunning beach - a few honeymooners about roasting in the blazing sun... otherwise just the lapping of the water on the sand. Bliss.
