I have sweat running down my leg right now which is always lovely!! Dee, there are no red avacados remember?! Its just in your crazy head, they are called tomatoes!
Missing everyone tons, keep the messages coming but not soo much or i'll be in this shop all day long!!
I'm back in Bangkok now anyway. We stayed in Sukothai on Wednesday night and then got up early on Thursday and hired some bikes to go cycling around the old ruins. It was all pretty cool but there is only so many fallen down temples that you can see and I started with the moaning. The one cool thing though was that I had a barbie pink bike with a basket on the front and fairy written on the side!! I loved it!! Just kept ringing my bell all the time!
It was a pretty good day, it was so hot though so we were knackered by about 2pm. Me and Morgan were going to stay in Sukothai that night too but there is nothing to do there except look at ruins so we decided to get a bus to Bangkok with the frenchies. It only took 6 hours which was good. It was 1st class with a toilet and blankets, total luxury for Thailand but only cost about 4pound! We even got given biscuits which I ate an insane amount of and then when we stopped for a break we got free thai curry which nearly blew my head off. I was sure that my lips had swollen!
The frenchies are still pretty funny. They refused to let me and morgan sit together for the 'comfort of the other passengers' so we had a frenchie each to seperate us! I made mine listen to paolo nutini and the killers for 5 hours but then I put it on shuffle and all of AJ's songs kept coming on so I looked like a fool. Thanks AJ but south park songs!?!?! I'll get you back!
We arrived in Bangkok at midnight and came to the main backpacker road but there was nowhere to stay so we ended up walking for ages to an average guesthouse which is loads more expensive than our little bungalow in Pai. Everytime anything happens we all just say "I miss Pai' :-(
It is so hard to breathe in Bangkok after being up north. I thought I loved Bangkok but now I just want to get away from it. We went out last night to find a bucket but here was nowhere for a decent price so we all went home with our tails between our legs.
Today Morgan went off to do some meditation course so I went with the frenchies to see the palace and reclining buddha. Its all pretty impressive and huge but it was expensive to get in and I had to wear this manky shirt to cover my shoulders and the guys had to wear these really gross green trousers. It was pretty funny but it was way too hot so we just moaned about it!
Then we went to see the reclining buddha which is an absolutely HUGE buddha lying down and relaxing. It was really cool but once again we had to pay so today was an expensive day. After that we were sick of being complete tourists and being surrounded by Germans so we got a water tazi to china town and had a wander around there. Everything was so cheap but it was mostly tat.Interesting to see all the hustle and bustle though. I found it so hard to breathe with all the pollution today though.
Fabien took us to the grand china hotel and treated us to some drinks after our stressful day and then we took a tuk tuk back to the main bit again. I just bought 2 dresses and after serious bargaining of cutting the price in half I am still paying more than primark. Its driving me mad, but I think they actually can't sell it any lower than about 3pound.
Morgan has a friend working in Bangkok so tonight we are all meeting up for a meal. The frenchies should have left today but they said they would stay for one more night with us and then leave tomorrow. I might leave tomorrow too. i asked in a few travel agents and they say the weather in phi phi is good but I don't know whether to trust them!
If its going to be rubbish for the whole time I'm here then I might go to Camboda for a bit but I don;t really want to leave Thailand because I really love it here. I need to sit down and actually plan something but its hard and I think there will be lots of drink involved tonight!!
Have a great weekend everyone xxxxxxxx
