Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
So today we spent in the CBD and instead of paying for city parking, we bought a new set of tyres and got parking for free :-) It worked out well as extended parking is all in the parking stations which our car is too tall to fit into, plus we needed the new tyres after driving about 3/4's around Australia.
We walked through Central Market which had great prices and wasn't busy at all and then jumped on a free bus. It took us through to North Adelaide which had some really nice, expensive looking old houses. We got off when it returned back to Rundle Mall and went to the State Library. A helpful man gave us a free tour and it was nice to see the atrium. The clock here is 150 years old and was made by the same people that made Big Ben clock and it needs to be wound every week. They hold weddings in here and the books were all really old but in good condition.
Next door to the State Library is the South Australian Museum which is is free but asks for a donation and is well worth it. We spent almost 2 hours there and it has a large taxidermy collection of animals from all over the world. Zach loved playing with the interactive screens.
Last stop was a walk through Rundle Mall. It has all the vibe and shops of a big city without being too crowded. Then it was back on the bus to get our car with brand new tyres. We are rolling good now.
