Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
We had another busy day going on a drive through the Adelaide Hills which also involved us driving up the longest hill (Southern Hwy) we have been on, so we were very happy not to be towing at the time.
We went to the Mt lofty summit which has views out over Adelaide and then walked through the Botanic Gardens and had lunch on the lawns. The plants were nice but it was the least manicured Botanical Gardens I've ever been to. It was also very hilly...we started at the top and then walked down but poor Matt had to walk back up all the hills to bring the car back down to the lower carpark.
We went to Hahndorf which is a German settlement area and the main street was very busy. We bought some smallgoods from the German Pantry and the boys all shared a big dark choc coated pretzel. We then went to Melbas Chocolate Factory which didn't compare to the one in Margaret River but we still bought a huge bundle of licorice for a great price and a strawberry chocolate.
To finish the day we dropped by Brandon & Kerry's house whom are friends we met on our travels up in Northern W.A. It was good to catch up and the boys had great fun with Riley and all his toys.
