Well today i headed on the east as bus - smaller bus with only 20 seats. Our first stop was Napier - art deco capitol of NZ - really nice place then back on the bus we passed through Wairoa and saw Kuri O Paua (young nicks head) which was the 1st thing that captain cook and his crew saw of NZ. Well....on the way to taupo i was gonna stop off in river valley for a couple of days to do some white water rafting there but when we rang up the place in taihepe they said there was no white water due to lack of rain (only bloody time that i wanted it to rain!) so in the end i decided to go straight to taupo which = sky dive day! Well that bottom bus was good crack (get the pun there? maybe not!) Anyhoo, left queenstown and embarked on the bottom bus around the bottom part of the south island. Hey all well i got to queenstown and its a nice place but not all thats cracked up to be really - its a real party town! So i decided to stay up at another lodge up the hill away from town as heard some bad stuff about the recommended hostel and now im glad that i did that(even though had to walk back in the dark on my own - it was worth the cleanliness!)
