Ok well im at my cousins house at the mo and have about an hour til i get my shuttle to the airport to fly to south america - really looking forward to going there but gonna miss NZ so much especially all the family members i have got to know here!! Sob sob!! So on sat my cousin, diane, picked me up and we headed north to orewa picking up my 2nd cousin Carolann on the way (i did meet carolann when she was 2 as used to live in brighton!) So we headed up to orewa and diane pointed outloads of stuff on the way - like having my personal tour guide!! Anyhoo, headed back to their house which is so nice - it is a big opened spaced house and so much light comes in - love the design of it! So met the 3 kids, tim who is 16, izzy who is 13 and caleb who is 10. In the arvo us girls headed up to sheepworld where finally i saw some sheep shearing - so my wish of seeing some tradiational NZ sheep shearing came true - it was really cool up there and me and izzy bottle fed some lambs - so cute!! Had a look around at the animals before it started to rain! In the afternoon, two more of my 2nd cousins came round for a visit - jamie and graham so it was really nice for me to meet them too. In the evening we ate some mexican food - so nice then watched wedding crashers - thought was really funny!! Following day we got up to go to church (yes before you lot say anything - i went to church which was very very different from the old SMS (school) services we used to have in the chapels (faye - luckily there were no scented candles so i didnt faint!!!). So i met all their friends from church - some really lovely people and they were all so interested in my travels. After church we got some good old fish and chips and spent the afternoon playing pictionnary - me and carolann were leading for ages but in the end diane and izzy won - had lots of fun playing with them - some of my drawings were a lil obscure but i knew what they meant!!! The next day the kids had the day off of school as i was visiting which was super nice of diane to let them have it off to spend time with me - even she didnt got to work!! So in the morning i played some card games with the kids - i taught them s***head and they taught me a game called scum which i wasnt too great at!! After that we all played cheat so had loads of laughs! In the arvo me, diane, izzy and caleb went to the cinema to see Ice Age 2 (sara you would love it) - really enjoyed the film thought it was well made. After cinema we stopped off at diane's husbands nannys place. She was super nice - she is 90+ and still drives, lives on her own and looks really good for her age. Last night we went out for a meal at a nice restaurant before coming back to the house! Had lovely time - then this morning i said bye to the kids as they went off to school then just said bye to diane - i hate goodbyes (i get that from my mother!!!) So that was my time in orewa - loved meeting my cousin and 2nd cousins for the 1st time. Thank you diane for everything and for welcoiming me into your house! Thanx izzy for giving up your bedroom for me!! It was lovely meeting you all - come visit me (oh and i guess my family too!!!) in the uk sometime!! Next postcard will be from south america!!!
