Carisa Goes Abroad
Today was a day of misunderstanding between the different people within our group. It was really obvious that we needed more than 2 cell phones to get everyone where they needed to be.
I got to run again in this beautiful country, although it was cold, windy and raining. I was able to squeak in 3 miles before it got to be too much. After the run, we traveled up the road to Moriarty's (a store that has been around for over 60 years). This is a cute little shop near the Gap of Dunloe and they have all kinds of Irish wears from all over. The owner was very nice and we got a good discount because of where we were staying.
After that, we drove up to Tralee to rescue Uncle Mike from the golf course because he was wet and cold and wanted to come with us. The course was set on the coastline and it was breathtaking view from the country club, when the sun was shining.
Next, we went to Ross Castle around Killarney. This was built in the 14th century and is a tower house with 4 floors of one room apiece. The house fell into disrepair and the Irish government restored it. It is a beautiful castle set on the lake.
After finding the rest of the group, I spent the evening at the other pub in Beaufort with the others in our group. It was nice chatting with the younger group and some of the locals.
