We left the cottages in the early morning and headed towards Shannon. We decided that we should stay near the airport tonight since we have a 9am flight tomorrow. We visited Bunratty Castle (the one in the photo). It was being renovated in some places, but it wasn't like Ross Castle since it has a well worn look to it. You could see the wear in the stone and they didn't have to repair the roof with this castle. I saw the dungeon, great room, different bedrooms, chapels, kitchen, the roof, and various staircases. There was a village outside of the castle with different examples of cottages from around Ireland. After that, we drove to the Cliffs of Moher and met up with Scott, Sheri and the kids. The cliffs were beautiful and I could see birds nesting in various places on the cliffs. The view was amazing, and there were cows around (of course). We had dinner in Innes near the old friary. The food was great (calzone and no chips) and it was a cute town.
