Today, I got up really late. I had not slept until 12pm in a while! I got up and made myself breakfast with food that i bought at a grocery store days before. Today, I wanted to go visit some museums at the city center. I waited for Zahra and Trinh to get ready (they too got up late), because they wanted to go to the museums as well.
When we arrived downtown, we stopped at a coffee shop to have brunch. While I was there, I heard my name being called in the background. It was James and Becky! What a coincidence that they were there at the same time as me in Santiago, a really big city! We talked for a bit and planned to meet for supper at 7:30pm.
After "brunch", at around 4pm, we finally went to visit a museum. Zahra wasn't feeling well (hungover!) so she decided to go back home. Trinh and I decided to go to the museo de Arte Sagrado, but then when we got there, we found out it was just a church...
We then went to the Cerro Santa Lucia which was amazing! I don-t know exactly why it was put there (even though I did read the history about it...), but it was a beautiful park where lovers went. It seemed like every where I turned, there were couples making out. I found that very common of Chile in general. People were very in to PDA here. I found it cute because it was nothing that over the top.
At the very top of the cerro (which means mountain), there was an amazing site of the Andes, which were not that far away. We got back down, and I was already late for supper with Becky and James. Trinh decided to go back to the hostel as well so I went by myself.
We met at Patio Bellavista, a very hip, bohemian sqaure full of bars, clubs, and restaurants. We had supper at this Irish pub that served mexican food (how weird!). After supper, I went back home to thehostel to have some free Pisco Sours (the hostel served them every Monday). Tomorrow, I had to pack in as many things as possible because it was going to be my last full day in Santiago.
