We travelled over from Mzuzu to Mbeya in Tanzania with a pretty smooth border crossing avoiding all the dody money and back into swahili speaking country which was a bit better for me (Nick) as ocassionaly i had some idea of what they were talking about lol!! We got to the town of Mbeya and found a pretty alright spot to stay for a few days which was ridiculously cheap compared to Malawi and for that matter Mozambique! We stayed there for 2 nights so we could get the long distance train that travels once a weeks from Lusaka (Zambia) to Dar (Tanzania) there was 4 of us so we booked out a first class cabin which was pretty cheap as it goes, it was'nt as nice as you think 1st class should be lol, but this is Africa!! The train took ages cus it only goes about 50k's and hour! and i think it was broken cus it would randomly heavy brake and then carry on going, which we thought was out of the drivers control!! was quite funny when you were sleeping as you would nearly fly ouot of bed!! We drove through the Selous Game Reserve which was really cool cus it was savannah and dry so we saw a fair few animals including giraffee and wildebeest!! got food on the train and everything else was a bit haggered like 3rd class's seats which were just hard metal as the cusions bits were falling off!! We got to Dar suprisingly on time considering we left 3 hours late!!! Then the heat hit us!!!!
