We travelled up from Lilongwe on a pretty long bus relatively ontime/comfortable bus trip!! we decided to take this guys busted taxi straight to the lake instead of hanging around in Mzuzu for the night!! We stayed in a really nice lodge on the lake called Mayoka Lodge!! The Setting was perfect as you can see from the pictures!! We stayed in Nkhata Bay for 2 nights and on the first night there was a huge rainstorm which practically ripped some of the lodge roof off!! The weather was much better after tho!! We took a trip on the lake with a load of other people to feed the fish eagles and to do some cliff jumping!! the cliffs/rocks did'nt look that high from the boat but were pretty high once we got up on them!! did all kinds of jumps and flips of the rocks into the water some hurting a lot and some just a little lol!! We then played some beach games including one called champion which im definetly bringing back to the UK and the game we played loads in Oz, (The Spinny Pole Game) which seemed to go down pretty well with the guys!! The lake was so warm to swim in also, aparently around 28 degrees which is perfect!! We also tried our luck with a dug out canoe which with 2 people in (Nick & this USA guy) failed a million times as had no balance to keep the thing up right at all!! We found another chick who was off to Tanzania aswel so we headed up to the border and TZ the next morning!! Early!!
