Port Douglas is a very nice and wealthy place, everything is pretty pricey there!! This was the nearest place we could go when we had days off from Silky Oaks so we would head down there to the beach and into town, to watch some olympics or just to get back into Civilisation. A few people we were working with have stopped off there to continue working and then we might be travelling together again!! We had endless amounts of fun on the beach when there was a lot of us and even one day, one of the other guys working with us walked about a foot away from a snake which i only just saw as it sticked its head right up at me!! When i pointed it out to him, the girl inside of him came out. very amusing, it moved pretty quick but we are still not sure if it could of given us that bite!!
