Mr Jarvis here. For those of you unhder time pressures, I thought I'd give a much breifer run down of the time in India so far:
Delhi: Twinned with any bombed out city you've ever seen on TV. Nice under ground. Traffic problems, touts, temples
Agra: Slightly worse than most open sewers. If it wasn't for the Taj Mahal it wouln't be visited by anyone. Even the rats have left its that dirty. Traffic problems, touts, temples
Jaipir: Nice place, decent enough hotel. Rajaput's have great facial hair. Crickt and bollywood both big here. Traffic probelms, touts, temples
Pushkar: Lake, camels, traffic problems, touts, temples
Mumbai: Formerly Bombay but renamed in the local Marahti language a few years ago. My Marahti isn't great but I think Mumbai roughly translates as "warm, stinking whole with more rats than people". Nice gateway and train station. Traffic problems, touts and temple.
Goa: Hot and steamy (weather not us), slower pace of life. Traffic not so much a problem (but gets worse at weekends I'm told), touts and temples (but we haven't been to look at them yet).
Food: Good
Weather: Hot (but pople still wear jumpers - its winter remember)
Health: No sign yet of Delhi belly (fingers crossed). Still time.
Future plas: Booze. Food. Booze. Food. Sleep. Booze. Food.
Bye for now
