This morning we left Greymouth and at 10 am we went on a two hour trip on 4 x 4 mud buggies. It was great fun and we were dressed head to toe in jackets trousers wellies and helmets. We drove through rivers, bogs, and very steep up and down terrain through the forest with huge areas of deep bog. At one point we had to be towed out. This is probably the best 4x4 activity we have ever done. At times it was extremely hairy but exhilarating at the same time. Pictures to follow. We have now travelled further north and are at the beach, staying here for three nights. Chillout time, it is very sunny and a lovely place, albeit probably the busiest that we have been to yet. The beach is lovely. Time for a rest. Off to bed shortly.
