So its 3am over here and I am now half way through my first night shift at the hostel. Alls well so far, its quiet with just the occasional drunken laugh floating down the stairs from the dormitories. The guy who is supposed to be training me is doing his fifth straight night, and therefore has fallen asleep int he office, leaving just me and the security guy at the desk, but so far I have managed to work it out as I have gone along.

This week I have been mainly working, as it was my first proper week at the hostel. I have therefore done little of note, but at least I have the weekend and Monday off, so I can enjoy myself then. I intend to spend some more time at Darling Harbor when I can, specifically to take a jet boat ride around the bay! I found out today (mainly due to the fact that the walls in my house seem to be as thin as prawn crackers) that my housemate's girlfriend Sara is pregnant, how cool is that?! She was telling all her friends about it on the phone today, so I think it must be quite a new thing too.

One more thing that I would like to mention before I go back to doing some work is that my Dad recently was awarded a medal he was owed from back in his army days, so we are all very proud of him!

Anyway I best go, I am after all supposed to working after all!
