Hey guys! Time for a new update! I have now completed my move away from the beach and into the city. My house is really cool, Darren (who's room I have taken over) has left me out one of his guitars and his LP player with a stack of records. The people I am staying with all seem lovely, all of them a bit older than me, but I am used to that from my time in Eldon Road. They even shared their meal with me on my first night!

I was sad to move away from Coogee though, I will not only remember it as a beautiful quiet beach with rolling waves and white sands, but as a place where I met a lot of friends in a very sort space of time. I intend to still spend some time there in passing, as some of the guys I shared a room in at the hostel are there for the long haul.

There is also news on the employment front, I have got a job working in a call center, selling mobile phone upgrades to existing users. It is not the most entertaining job of all time, but at least it is not cold calling or going door to door. The team are all completely insane too! The best part is the pay though, for four weeks I am getting paid $20 (£10) an hour, then after that $21 for 5 weeks, and, if I am still there, $23 after that! There is also commission to be had, bu its a bit of a challenge to get to the minimum sales to get there. It is a three month contract, which suits me just fine, as I was planning to leave Sydney around then anyway.

It is a good job that I have sorted out a job for myself, as this week has been fairly expensive. I have had to buy some nice shirts and trousers for my job (why we have to be dressed nicely I will never figure out, it is not as if we are using video phones!) and I also need to get some bedding and some extra casual clothes. I also purchased a nice black Ibenez acoustic guitar, as I am only borrowing one of Darren for five weeks before he takes it on tour. It was always the plan to buy one, its just what to do with it when i move out of Sydney that is the question!

The weather here has been terrible, I can not believe I have traveled half the globe just to get caught in a week long rain shower! At least it made it easier to go to work! Anyway, I will update again soon, and in the mean time I hope all is well with everyone!!
