Krabi Town

Well we are still here in Krabi, staying at 'Ks guesthouse' awaiting the camera. Its quite nice to actually be in 1 place for a longer period of time, we are still very chilled. Yesterday we had a day of nothing really, although took a wander into the main town. We ate in the night market again last night (where Neil thought he was saying thankyou in Thai but actually said a made up word- very, very funny) for very cheap and arrived back in the irish bar!! Typical. Today we had a tour booked so were up and ready at 8am and picked up outside. We drove to Ao Nang and got a boat here to do a 4 island hop, Tup Island, Poda Island, Chicken Island and Pranang Cave. All very beautiful and we did more snorkelling (neil more than me) We were really lucky with the weather, it stayed bright all day and only really rained when we got back! On Poda island there were monkeys but we were warned they were NOT friendly and to avoid them as they bite (and open your bag!) All of the views were perfect, just like paradise! Pranang island had nicer monkeys jumping from treee to tree. Here is also home to the 'Princess Cave' which is where the locals (sea gypsies) believe a spirit resides in the huge, very impressive caves. There is a shrine, with a pic of the princess which is then surrounded by hundreds of carved (all shapes and sizes) erect willies!! Ha ha. I'm not entirely sure why they do this but the guide mentioned something about fertitily....i dunno?? She said if i wanted a baby, here was the best place to make a wish...hmmmmm. NO wishing went on!! We are now chilling again and back to the night market for the best and cheapest grub in town- i shall be the one to say thankyou tonight!!!! (korr pun kaa)
