11:20am
Well we are just about to make our last asian stop before Oz. Kuala Lumpur has been a nice surprise. A lot bigger and up to date than we had expected. We arrived with Niall and Caroline at 4:30am and decided there was no point checking in officially so we headed for the Patronas towers. It was a little early so we stopped for brekkie (rice and noodles-ha) and chilled for a while. Thinking we were going to be the 1st in line we headed to queue for the towers-there are only a certain amount of people allowed to go per day so you have to get a ticket early. When we arrived there were 100+ people already in the line!!! At 9:15 we went up to the 41st floor to see the views of Kuala Lumpur-very nice! Me and Neil were so tired we headed back and slept til 4pm! We got up and ventured into the city, walking miles all around the shopping quarter, visiting lots of huge shopping centres (times square was HUGE!) and eventually arrived in Chinatown where the night market was. We ate here and then walked back, bumping into Niall and Caroline again in a bar. We stopped off and then didnt leave. We met 2 london lads who were great fun and they took us to a bar that was free...yes free...drinks for ladies..BONUS!! Then they brought us to a club where we were until 2am.
Yesyterday then we had to get up at 8am for our trip to Batu caves where we saw the Hindu temple, lots of cheeky monkeys running around the place and traditional indian dancing. It was a good morning. The guide then took us to the pewter and Onyx factory where we had a small tour. I bought an onyx bracelet which is meant to improve energy!! hmmmmm. We ate at another night market and then headed back to our room (Anjung KL Guesthouse) as it was pouring down. And that is KL done...3 countries in 5 weeks isnt too bad!
