Christchurch is a nice little city which reminded me a lot of Adelaide. We were staying at Base backpackers which is in Cathedral Square, right in the heart of the city. It was a nice little pedestrianised area with shops and things. I went out to the Antarctica centre here, just outside of the city which was really interesting. Its amazing what they are doing there and it was good fun. They dress you up in the clothes they wear down there and put you in a room where they put the temp down to antarctica level and set off a storm. Very funny!! I didnt spent much time in Christchurch, to be honest because I really wanted to get out into the counrtyside and I am getting a little bored with seeing so many cities!! xxxx
