Wellington was a nice little city. It was surrounded by mountains and it was a bigger and more modern city than Christchurch. We didnt have long here, but it seemed to be a nice place. There were lots of those great tacky touristy shops everywhere, and also lots of bars for backpackers. It was lovely on the ferry ride when we were coming in as it was a lovely view. The harbour area was really nice, and Im told that is the place to go. Xxx
