Neil's Round the World Trip!
G'day folks, today I went to Sydney Harbour and walked around Circular Quay. I had my lunch down by the quayside and then walked through the historic Rocks area up on to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I paid $8 and walked up to the top of one of the imposing granite tower pylons, the views were amazing! I was tempted to do "Bridgeclimb" whereby you join a group and climb up to the top of the bridge but the price was shocking- $180.
I walked through the Central Business District and passed Customs House (a very old building). I then continued on to the Opera House and took a few photos of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. I chilled out in the Royal Botanic Gardens for most of the day and watched cockatiels run around on the lawn.
I walked back to the hostel and then packed my stuff because I was leaving the following day. I was tempted to have a drink but was so tired and there was nobody to go with. The two English guys were in their beds passed out (they just seem to constantly be in their beds) and the girls were going to the Skytower retaurant but I didn't go because it cost loads.
I just read my Rough Guide and fell asleep....zzz....
