Hi everyone! Today I woke up hungover and thought I'd lost my wallet. I frantically searched my bed, bags and rucksack. Disaster! I even ran to the bar in the pouring rain where I'd been drinking with Swedish guys, nope..nothing. So I phoned my poor dad (sorry, dad) and woke him up (it was 2am in Scotland) so he gave me the numbers to call to cancel my cards. I phoned and used up all my phone credit, so then I went to the police station and reported my wallet missing/stolen with New South Wales police. I then went back to the hostel and met the Swedish sisters who are staying in the hostel on their way to Sydney. I had a coffee with Ebba and tried to call ACE insurance but got through to an Indian guy who barely spoke English so I spent 10 minutes talking to myself and used up my last credit. I was sitting on a bench in the garden when I thought about my wallet..hmm... my keys were under my pillow-maybe my wallet has fallen under my bed as surely last night I would have realised that I didn't have my wallet. I checked under the bed..nothing and then I checked the pillow..hmm..hang on it's a little heavy...yeah my wallet was in my pillowslip. So now I have to wait until I reach New Zealand to get my new bank card and visa card. I have only $150 cash to do me until then so dad you might have to transfer cash to me..maybe Western Union? Yeah so Jack and Margaret expect a lot of post!! Tonight I'm going to take it easy as it's torrential rain and I'm tired (not as tired as my dad who never got back to sleep!) from my lost wallet escapade. Oh Ida I said I give you a call today but my phone now has no money and I can't recharge because my card is cancelled!!! So I will have to try and find a phone tomorrow! I love Byron Bay it's so chilled out, people are friendly and love the outdoors; surfing, volleyball, fishing and sunbathing. We decided to go to Nimbin (the hippy town) tomorrow. We might also visit Tweed Heads and Lennox Head. We all went to the beach hotel tonight and had a few too many Jagermeister shots!
