Today I left Lennox Head early in the morning and booked into a hostel in Byron Bay right on the beach. It has BBQ, free boogie boards, sangria nights, and is reasonably nice inside. I'm going to check out the town today and maybe take a trip to Nimbin in a few days. It's the Amsterdam of Australia with lots of stoners and hash dealers. I think it will be fun to see as there are loads of hippy shops and alternative therapies. The weather here is good, 30c and sunny! I just heard Scotland beat England in the rugby- amazing!!! Right I'm off to explore.... I sat on the beach today under the blistering heat and then went with two Swedish guys from my hostel into town for a coffee and cake to celebrate Johan's birthday. We had dinner in a Mexican restaurant and then bought the infamous goon (really cheap wine) works out at 3 pounds for 5 litres of wine! We sat in the hostels communal area and spoke to Kiwis until 2am.
