This morning it was Matty, Anna and Jonny who woke up early and made so much noise that they woke the rest of us up! Not happy, I dragged them with me to walk the dog and it started raining almost immediately! They came home cold and miserable but cheered up over a hot chocolate and marshmallows - what a breakfast!! We decided to have a day off school today and instead went into town and did some shopping. We were home in time for lunch and then the kids took off to the playground for an hour. I drove back into town to pick up supplies I'd forgotten and it was great cruising around in the car as it was the first time I'd driven in months. We spent the rest of the afternoon reading inside, as it was too cold and wet to be outside - so much for the first day of summer! By 4ish we had cabin fever and so dressed up in raincoats and walked the beach again then came home for dinner. We spent the rest of the night in front of the TV and fell asleep listening to the rain.
