It was light by 5am and Nick and I couldn't sleep so we got up and had a coffee in peace and quiet while everyone else slept on - bliss! Once Katharine was awake she was happy to stay at home and look after the other three (as Grandma and Poppy Jon were only in the garden) and Nick and I took the dog for a walk around the park. We were just about finished when she rang us to find out where we were! We went home for breakfast and then decided to do some shopping and walk the dog. The kids didn't want to shop so Nick and I went off into Dunsborough by ourselves and had a lovely time - it's been a long time since the two of us shopped alone!! We dropped off the shopping, picked up Poppy Jon and went back for another long walk along Geographe Bay. Grandma had a platter lunch ready for us when we got home and afterwards she bribed the kids into having a half hour lie down with mentos - I can't believe it worked!! We spent the afternoon swimming at a secluded little spot that we had all to ourselves and eventually headed home for champagne, dinner and another bath - could it get any better!! Before dinner I had a long chat to my old boss and came away with a job so everything now seems to be slotting into place! We were all shattered and in need of an early night and the kids were asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow - I wasn't too far behind!
