Woken in the night with a wet double bed. Moved one twin to the couch while the other slept on in blissful ignorance! Hit the laundry first thing in the morning instead of the beach and needed 2 cappuccinos to get going. After the usual breakfast marathon we headed out to Condingup, about 80kms east of Esperance to Wharton Beach. We spent 10 days here over Christmas in 2011 and to us it is the best beach in WA. Today it was too cold for most of us to swim but the twins had a dip. We climbed the rocks and found a couple of lizards but that was it for wild life. On the way home we called in to Hellfire Bay, in Cape Le Grand, to have a look as it made it on the list of top 10 beaches in WA. It is a stunning beach but too windy today and I still think Wharton is better! Once home, Nick went of to the launderette in town to wash all the beach gear as it will be a while before we use it again, and I made some meals to carry us over the Nullabor. The winds were really strong this afternoon and it made being outside really difficult. Even the washing up water was swaying in the sink while I cooked! I had a chat with the real estate agents but unfortunately both houses are still not rented - we may be home sooner then we thought. We had risotto in the thermamix for dinner - I had to justify its expense and place in the van somehow! Then it was showers all round and bed feeling like we all had motion sickness. Tomorrow we start our trek across the Nullabor and plan to only drive about 6 hours a day. First stop should be a few hours east of Norseman then we plan a cliff top stop just as we cross the SA border but we will see. We said the same last year and 3 days later we were in Victoria!!

Katharine's Corner Welcome back! It's good to see so many people reading my blog and there has been all good comments. Today we went on a trip to the not-so-famous Wharton Beach. Last time we went there we saw a Bronze Whaler (shark) swim into the bay. this time we saw nothing but a few lizards. The beaches blew us away with their beauty, crystal clear water with that aqua blue we picture a beach like. On the way to our second beach we called in at the Duke of Orleans caravan park to get some hot chips. So good:) Next we went to Hellfire bay which was in the Cape le Grande national park. It was the prettiest but it was not as protected as Wharton. When we got back i hung out with my friends Kaitlyn and Courtney and all told spooky stories. i scared myself and every one else. i got to the middle of my story and we were all like " I'm going inside see you in the morning and that was how my day ended. to all the people who enjoy my blog i will keep in touch and be sure to look at the photos. bye! To: everyone, keep reading.
