Saturday 29th March

Day One for the Connections Tour: After meeting the crew on our tour, Adam the guide/cook and Alan the driver, we jumped on the Connections Bus. There are 18 of us on the tour. One missing, Lawrence, as he's comatosed in bed!!

We stopped off at Blues Point for our last sight of Sydney before heading to Hunters Valley. We arrived at the Hunter Valley Gardens, where we partaked in a spot of wine tasting. I aint much of a wine drinker, but hey, its free alcohol!! Pretty cool actually

We had a buffet lunch in the gardens, after which we jumped back on the coach to the resort called Great Lakes to our stop for the day/night, Myall Lakes National Park. After checking in, into what were beautiful and spacious quad sharing facilities, it was off to the lakes where the sun was beating down on the water, for a bit of Kayaking. Half an hour later, we returned to shore a little wet, tired and burnt!

Dinner was a BBQ prepared and cooked by Adam, which was cracking. We headed to the beach with some chairs to share stories/get to know each other. No light apart from the flames from the candles. By 10pm, we were all back in our accommodation and in bed for a fairly early night, refreshed and ready for day 2.
