Day nine of the Connections Tour: Up and onto the coach for the journey to Airlie Beach and three nights on the Whitsunday Islands. We'll be staying on Long Island. We stopped for lunch in Mackay, by the beach. We arrived in Airlie Beach at 3pm for a chillout before the ferry to Long Island, which left at 4pm. Once we arrived, we checked into our rooms and headed off for dinner. We had half an hour before meeting at the bar. Tonight was wacky hair evening, along with Karaoke. Shocking performances by some, pretty darn good ones by others. Guess which i was?! Finished by 12 then off to bed.

Day ten of the Connections Tour: Breakfast was an early one...again! Weather aint great either - its cloudy and raining, with the sun trying to fight its way out! We jumped on the connecting ferry to catch the Camira. The Camira is an 85ft catamaran that travels at up to 30 knots. We got on the catamaran via a small boat. Once on, we had our safety brief and a rundown of the day ahead, morning tea was served. The water was rocky and the weather was still pretty s***e! However, the sun was coming out to play every now and then. We sailed round South Molle Island, Hook Island and around Whitsunday Island before arriving at Whitehaven Beach. The clouds then cleared, the sun came out and we ventured into the water in our Stingersuits. An hour later, we boarded the boat and had a BBQ lunch, even thou the rain had started again! We continued to sail round the Whitsunday Island and Hamilton Island before dropping anchor for a spot of snorkelling. Flippers and stingersuits on, we checked out the marine and reef life. Once back on the Camira, we set sail for Daydream Island to catch the ferry back to Long Island. We arrived back, me burnt obviously!! Dinner was served and we headed down to the resort bar for the quiz - which we won! It was then back to the room for me for an early night - at 10pm!!!!

Day eleven of the Connections Tour: A free day, and finally a chance for a lie in - breakfast is at 9. Went out to the Whitsunday Lookout with a few of the group led by Alan. After this we head to the beach. A few sunbathed, some hired kayaks and jetskis, while Karl and muself hired a dingy and headed round the bay. Two hours later, we were back with the rest of the group. A couple of drinkat the pool bar followed. We had nibbles on the beach at 6, so a few of us headed down to the bar at 5 for Happy Hour. Dinner was at 8. After stuffing our faces, we headed back to the bar, where there was a live band on. We all had a few drinks as Ellie leaves us tomorrow - she's only doing 11 days with Connections
