Sunday 30th March

Day Two of the Connections Tour: Up for breakfast before hitting the road to Byron Bay. We've heard from Lawrence - he's going to meet us in Byron Bay and bringing the numbers up on the tour to 19. We stop off in a town called Kempsey for a break before driving to Coffs Harbour lunch. Adam's forgot the food, so they have to go do a bit of shopping. They come back with like 4 chickens!! After lunch we drove to the Glen Villa Resort in Byron Bay.

After checking in, we walk down to the beach - amazing views! After heading to meet the rest of the group, including Lawrence, we went to The Railway Friendly Bar for dinner - lovely steak! Adam then took us to The Beach Hotel. Really cool DJ was on in there. We had a few drinks before walking back to the rooms.

Monday 31st March

Day Three of the Connections Tour: A free day today to do waht we please. James, Noelle and myself get up early to head down to the beach to watch the sunrise. We return for breakfast before most of the group head down to the beach for a surf lesson. I have a walk round the town before heading out for a 3 hour kayak with Lawrence, Geraldine and Nadine. Its mid afternoon and roasting, and for the first time in history i dont get burnt. Saying that, i was putting the stuff on every five minutes!! We saw turtles and dolphins, thou they were about 40metres away. We rowed to shore for afternoon tea and biscuits, TimTams - lovely! We headed back out there for another half an hour before riding the waves back to the sand. Unfortunately, we misjudged it! What a wipeout! Both myself and Geraldine were thrown from the kayak into the water, with the kayak flipping over our heads - GAME OVER!!! Soaked and full of sea water, we trudged up the beach! Dinner was cooked by Adam this evening before going to a bar called Cheeky Monkeys. A few drinks and a couple of Jeigas were had before returning to the resort to pack for tomorrows departure
