Finally a sleep in, till 7am! After breakfast, we got on the bus but stopped at a view point of Florence, and to also admire a giant replica of Michelangelo's - David! We then did a walking tour with a local guide followed by some free time to enjoy the sights of Florence such as the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio). Florence is considered the birthplace of the renaissance and is ranked one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We entered Santa Croce which inside is the burial place of Michelangelo, Galeleo and Dante. We enjoyed an Italian lunch and walking around, it looked cloudy this morning but was nothing but pure sunshine. Bek (not Jas, due to sickness) enjoyed a lovely dinner and wine in the Tuscan hills.
