We're on the road! Picked up our campervan on Monday morning in San Francisco and after stocking up with supplies we were soon on the road. Our van is awesome, it's called Jaws and has sharks and jellyfish painted on it!

We made our way steadily to Yosemite and arrived just before sunset. The drive into the park was wonderful, we saw our first site of Half Dome, El Capitan and the waterfalls before setting up camp for the night. We have to keep all our food and toiletries in bear safe lockers, we didn't see any bears but saw a fox and raccoon last night.

The weather was meant to turn sour today, but we lucked out once again with not a cloud in the sky! After breakfast we headed off on the shuttle to see Yosemite Falls, stunning. They are the tallest falls in the US and the water was freezing in the air before it hit the bottom of the top falls making a massive cone of ice! After soaking all this in we headed up through the village to see the beautiful Ahwahnee Hotel and walk up to the Mirror Lake, frozen over in winter but offering beautiful views of the famous Half Dome. We headed back to camp via town for some supplies and settled in for the night, making a fire and cooking smores, yum!
