It was an early start this morning as we needed to hit the road in good time to make the 5 hour journey to West Virginia. We showered at 0630, packed our tents away, had brecky, loaded the trailer and set off around 0800 heading south.
The journy didn't feel too long. We amused ourselves listening to music, reading, writing bloggs and making 'friendship bracelettes' rather like the ones i made in the school playground when I was 9 when we sat cross legged on the floor and tied the end of the thread to the railings, obsessively tying knots in it. Who'd have known this skill would come in so handy twenty years later on long bus journeys!
Micheal McCintyre also came in handy on the trip. I listened to the first hour of his five hour audio autobiography where he particularly amaused me with a joke about his hungarian mother.
We stopped off at Walmart for our firstfood shop. We've been split in to two teams which will rotate each day with cooking and washing up duties. We split in tonour teams and tracked down everything we needed for a spag boll, BBQ and curry (not an easy job in a shop twice as big as the hugest Tesco I've ever encountered. Though Tesco doesn't sell guns, Walmart did, and right next to the toy section too! Only in America! We also grabbed some pillows for bus comfort, some other creature comforts and of course some beer :D
We stopped for a picnic lunch of salad and sanwiches and hit the road for the second leg of the journy.

Ma Selling guns in supermarkets, eh? Food for thought! Haha! At least they look as if they're locked up! xx
