Another early start this morning and another sunrise, this time over the Grand Canyon. Our tour leader took the group down to an enormous rock jutting out of the side of the canyon. It was a fabulous spot however I stayed behind, knowing my dodgy knee wouldn't allow me back up again if I made it down. It worked out for the best though, Katelin kindly bought me a bagal and OJ and I sat alone on a pieceful rock wathcing the rising sun. It was nice to have some time...

The day started in Monument Valley by being woken by our Navajo guide at 05:15. I cleaned my teeth behind the hogan with my water bottle and used the drop toilet whilst stared out in to the wilderness. I remember doing the same thing whilst looking out on to the Serengheti. Very surreal. We hopped on to the jeep and were driven to a spot to watch the sunrise. Sleeping under the stars and watching a sunrise over Monument Valley felt pretty special. We were served ...
