It was a very cold night on the sleeper bus as the air con was very powerful and i was woken up by a tap on my head by the man on the bus so everyone rubbed their eyes and waddled off the bus and into a small service station/tourist info place in the middle of nowhere. We weren't told what was going on, just asked which island we were going to and directed to different tables. Here i had a nap by resting my head on my bag that was on the table and we waited and waited for news of when we would continue with our journey.
After waiting for around 30 minutes, different people were chosen and got onto different busses, people who were going to the same island as us which i didn't understand at all. We were finally called forward to get a new ticket and proceeded onto a tuktuk with a french woman who was very quiet, i was nackered though so wasn't bothered to make a conversation. The tuktuk took us into town where there was a big coach parked up. The coach was leaving in 30 minutes which meant more waiting around. The plan was to get to Koh Phi phi at noon but that was definitely not going to happen. When i got onto the coach i fell asleep straight away. Daniel sat behind me so i had two chairs to myself to i took advantage and lay down.
The coach took us to another weird place in the middle of nowhere where we had to then get ANOTHER ticket. We got on a Tuktuk who drove us around town to, yep, another tourist info place where we then got onto a minibus that took us to the Krabi port (finally!). We handed over the ticket and walked down a long passage and onto the boat. It was 13:30 when the boat left the port and begun it's journey across the sea to Koh Phi Phi. We sat upstairs on the sun deck as there wasn't any room on the seating downstairs but this was perfect as there was a nice breeze as well as sun, which meant i could get a little more tanned.
There were loads of limestone islands in the sea, similar to the ones in Halong Bay which made a nice view. It took us around 2 hours to get to Koh Phi Phi and when we got off the boat we were greeted by loads of men advertising hotels, bungalows, hostels and guesthouses. We decided to go for a hotel which cost 800TB a night and it was when i was getting my money out that i noticed that 6,000 of it had gone missing. Thats around £80 and there was no way anyone could have got to my bag to steal it as i kept it with me the whole time, only Daniel had access to it. I was so livid and upset i just wanted to cry. In fact i did a little bit. It has ruined the experience of Koh Phi Phi. As i was sitting down daniel met a boy he worked with in hampstead, small world. We followed a man who pushed our backpacks for us in a trolley to the hotel and we checked into our very purple room. As i switched my ipad on and connected to wifi i got even bad news. Alex told me that Dad had seen daniel's facebook and knew everything, this is when the s*** really hit the fan. I just wanted to punch a wall and scream, how could my day be so bad? This is one of the worst days of my life and even worse that he took it out on mum a day before her birthday. I literally felt like i wanted to vanish, and i still do. Everythings going to s***, my relationship, my money, literally everything. I really wish i was home but at the same time can't face going back because of my dad. After talking to alex and mum it turns out some woman in Egypt had shown him daniel's facebook and the photos of us on it. I got a few messages from him saying he didn't think i would do this. I don't know what to do, i really don't. This trip could have been so good but it just seems to be getting worse and worse.
Daniel went out and so i had a walk around and chilled out back in the room. When he came back we both went out to explore Ko Phi Phi which was busy with tourists from all over the globe. As we walked down the road there were men with monkeys dressed in jeans and a shirt. The monkey clung onto my arm and climbed onto my shoulder, he was so furry and cute. I asked the guy what breed it was and he said it was a Gibbon. I dont agree with this exploitation as they should all be in their natural envinroment not on a strip near bars to amuse tourists. They ask for 100baht to take a photo with it.
We were heading to Woody's bar for a drink and to see chantelle, a girl i knew back in London but is now living on the island with her Thai boyfriend. It's hard to find your way around the island as loads of the paths look the same so we ended up walking around in circles to the other side and back. There are sooo many cats here just laying on the road, there are some really big fluffy ones, lots of ginger ones and tabby ones, my heaven! We finally found Woody's bar where we went to the bar to order beer. I asked the man if chantelle was working and he pointed me in her direction. She looked so happy standing giving out flyers. We spoke about her ex boyfriend back home and when she's next visiting london. I said i would be back tomorow and we went over onto the beach to sit down and watch the fire show.
It was incredible. Seeing young boys juggle sticks of fire and spin they really quickly throwing them into the air for each other to catch. They also spun it around in the sea which looked amazing as all of the embers went round in big circles it was honestly out of this world. After we had a drink and enjoyed watching tourists jump through rings of fire and skip with a skipping rope set alight we fire we decided to head back stopping at a fast food place before. Daniel got vegetable samosas and i had one but couldn't finish it because it was literally dripping with oil, disgusting. As we started to walk back it began to rain which wasn't food as we got lost. Just as we made it back it began to downpour and i went back out to get water. My ankles were deep under water i couldn't believe it! It wasn't too much of a long walk though thank god! Came back and went to bed.
