Well we reached our final stop in Vietnam, as usual the trip started early. Reaching the delta we hopped onto a boat to see the sights. First we visited a local market on the way passing the shanty housing of the local people, which to me didn't look too sturdy on their posts half on the river, half on land. We reached Saigon and i could tell from the bus drive through the city i was going to like it. We arrived there in the afternoon and after a couple of hours tring to find a half decent room at a half decent price (and Stefie upsetting the locals with her abrupt attitude to their persistent selling techniques) we found somewhere which turned out to be housing the English girls from Nha Trang that Ben knew. Next up we decided that it would be good to visit a mountain town and national park on our way to Saigon. Da Lat is a very strange city, it has some really nice flower displays in places (where they've tried to make it look good) and is ridden with poverty elsewhere with cracked pavements (when i say cracked, i mean massive holes, i would imagine very treacherous if drunk). After ditching out stuff at a hotel (which we were paying $4 a night for) we head off...

Next up was Nha Trang, I had decided i was going to get my PADI open water diving certificate here whilst Ben was going to lie on the beach. On the first evening i found Rainbow diver's, they said i could do the course in 3 days which was good for me. Also at this point we were travellign with Stefie and Malte (a couple of Germans). A Train journey later and we were now in Hoi An. We had fortunately all been able to get in the same room on the train as well as sharing with 2 local men (6 ppl in a room). The train journey was comfortable and once again there were some beautiful sights from the train especially of nice sunny beaches.
