Arrived at La Hortensias in the late afternoon, just as lovely as the journey out and vacancies, booked in for a couple of nights just to kick back and relax. Definitely into the Aperol, Bob and Birgitt have a lot to answer for, we've drunk almost a bottle since leaving Mainz ! Had a late dinner enjoying the evening sun, Bella in her usual place under the van until dinner was served. Got up a little late the next morning, had breakfast and walked to Monchy Lagash, two cafes a boulangerie and a general shop... all closed, after all it was 2 in the afternoon. In fairness we knew that was likely and it was a very sweet village, Bella had a dip in the trout stream, then we walked back to site for Aperol in the evening sun before dinner.
