Moved on to Ardres to find a vet, Bella needed a visit for her pet passport to be validated for the crossing back. We leave on Tuesday morning (10:35 crossing) and she has to have her working .tablet between 5 days and 24hrs prior to departure. Arrived at La Hortensias in the late afternoon, just as lovely as the journey out and vacancies, booked in for a couple of nights just to kick back and relax. Tried to follow the Champaign route, unfortunately we had not researched this as thoroughly as we should have, kept losing the route. Managed to find Vaudemange with its dozen or so champagne houses but couldn't find somewhere to stay, had a short walk among the vines as Bella needed to go. So drink these champagnes at your own peril.
