Moved on to Ardres to find a vet, Bella needed a visit for her pet passport to be validated for the crossing back. We leave on Tuesday morning (10:35 crossing) and she has to have her working .tablet between 5 days and 24hrs prior to departure. That means an appointment very early Monday or Friday as not all vets are open on Saturday and not all vets are licensed for pet passports (the 6 P's spring to mind). As it happens Lesley had wrote down the directions to a vet that was recommended on a forum. It was Wednesday and the earliest appointment we could get was for 3:15 on Friday. That settled it we shall stay in the area for a couple of nights do the appointment and move on. We booked into a camp called St. Louis in Artignes just up the road. Not the best we've stayed at and a little expensive but it served a purpose. The following day we walked to Ardres then out the other side to the lakes. Walked all round then back to a 'frites' bar and had beer, sandwich and frites, too much food, we couldn't finish it even with Bella's help. Came back and chilled out on a very hot evening. We had walked over 14km in the heat of the day. We must be nuts.
