"Chardonnay only" Flight

The flights from manchester to Bangkok wasnt too bad, despite being about 15hrs in total!! Just watched a couple of films and slept!! Unfortunately the only wine on the flight was chadonnay so it'll be red from now on i think. I guess we should've be grateful we had alcoho at all on an arab flight!!

Taxi from the airport was totally fine and got straight into the D&D inn on Koh San Road! Its just a nice hotel, room is pretty basic but right on the street and the rooftop pool was gorgeous! We went and got some noodles from a streetseler and just had a wander around, then went to bed about midnight!

Spent most of the 29th trying to sort out a hotel and flight to koh samui! i know a bus would've been a lot chaper but i was shattered and just wanted to get there...we were stupid and left it far too late, i just didnt think it would be a problem, but as it transpires everyone from bangkok wanted to go to koh smui or the islands for the new year, and the hotel that had been reccommended was totally full so we went for an alternative and crossed out\r fingers it would be nice. To be honest i dont really mind as it is new year and whatever we do will be so much cheaper than anything in the UK...did a bit of sunbathing then went out. Was only supposed to be for a couple but you know how it is...went for a gorgeous meal at a "sports bar!" but it was nothing like sports cafe at home, was absolutely gorgeous!

Went into a bar and got chgatting to this Canadian guy called Matt...He was leaing the next day to go home and had been all over vietnam etc so gave us some tips...then got chatting to a girl called Jenna from Kent who was with another canadian guy called nathan, think she was looking for a bit of an excuse to get away!! bless her. Anyway we had a few whcikey buckets, smoked a sheesha and rolled into bed at god knows what time!!

"2 dresses for under a tenner!!"

Got up early the next day to sunbathe but i was delicate to say the least! Managed not to puke but burnt my face pretty badly...ooops. Could not face any alcohol that night so just got a quick bite to eat and then did my first haggling for 2 dressed.. 250bhat and 300bhat so under a tenner for them both, definitely going to dump some stuff with the beggar kids in vietnam and stock up on dresses and chaerp mac makeup (and presents) when we go back to bangkok!
