I’m nowhere near Barbuda, but the app insists on a country and at the moment, that island is nearer than the next island! Well Antigua is.
The weather was cooler today but still shorts temperature, tomorrow may be the last day for bare legs, I suspect.
Shaun Wallace gave his first lecture today and he wore his wig and gown. He wasn’t as eloquent as I’d expected for a barrister, but interesting nonetheless.
In the noon day announcement the Officer of the Watch, (quite posh, don’t you know), said that basically we’re in the middle of nowhere.
Apart from our mile this morning, most of the time was spent indoors. After lunch Barbara and I played 10 pin bowling on the Wii. Barbara was almost at the end of her training game when there was a click and all four tv screens in the room went blank. I have no idea why.
The central bank of lifts has been dodgy for a couple of days, which is annoying as that’s our closest set. I tend to walk down the stairs, even from deck 12 to our deck which is 5. Walking up is a different matter. I get out of puff after two or three decks.
I spent some time seeing which trousers still fit. Luckily some still do, just. I have a serious amount of weight to lose when I get home. So, no booze until my next cruise, a shake for lunch (except Sunday’s and court days) and probably just fruit for dessert.
As it was St. David’s day today the quiz in Champion’s was Welsh themed. We scored 21/30. Once again Linda and Rob went to the music quiz, so it was just the three of us defending our Syndicate crown. We scored 13 and there was a tie break at 16. Tables 33 and 39. 33 won.
