Cool and quite choppy today. The first day of week 8. I discovered yesterday after I'd uploaded my blog that Reta Panter had died. I'd known her all my life, she used to live next door but one to me and she used to go to school with my mum. My thoughts are with her husband and three daughters.
Spent the morning sorting out my website and then taking pictures of the ship. People complained that my last blog used the same few pictures for sea days, so I'm trying to find different shots for this one. BTW, we didn't win yesterday's quiz. The cruise overview for the next sector has just been delivered and there are four formal nights. We already have the wine for three of them.
Because of the weather, deck 13 was closed. Yesterday in Burnie, they shut the roof over the Crystal Pool. It was supposed to be a barbecue lunch by the (open air) Riviera Pool, but it was moved to the Crystal Pool instead. Afterwards, I went upstairs inside the Crystal Pool and nabbed a sunbed, Barbara and Mavis joined me. As deck 13 was closed deck quoits didn't happen, but as I was on the same deck as the table tennis competition, I entered that instead. I haven't played for years so of course I lost. I was partnered with Matteo, for a while the only 'child' on board. He's a 16 year old Chilean, who's 6' plus!
I won my 14th gold sticker in the Individual Quiz. We also won bottle 31 in the 9:30 quiz and lost by one point in the Syndicate Quiz, which we haven't played for a few days.
