Last night I saw a lady who looked familiar. I spoke to her and we finally realised that we had been appointed as MK magistrates at the same time, although she resigned quite a few years ago.
Much cooler this morning and bumpier too. Temperature has been 14/15 most of the day. Finished off my web page for the first leg, so that should be ready for uploading when I get home. After BoS (women still ahead) Yvonne gave me a manicure, so that saved me a few quid in the spa. Despite the cool weather people sat out on the back decks. Clothing varied from hats and coats to swimwear. Some people were even swimming.
Quiz news: lost Individual by 1, lost Comic by 1, won the Syndicate in the tie break, so that's two of the three bottles for the next formal night. Speaking of formal nights, today was the first of this sector. Most men dress in black or white DJ's and the women often wear long dresses, the colour of which sometimes matches the guy's bow ties. The menus on formal nights always have a choice of two. The standard menu, as it were, and a Marco Pierre White menu. Tonight I had the latter and had asparagus with egg, mushroom soup and half a lobster. Then I reverted to the 'other' menu and finished with cheese and biscuits. Normally, we drink the wine we've won in the quizzes on formal nights too, but today I gave my liver a rest and went alcohol free.
Clocks go back a hour tonight.
