Mich Goes Walk About
Spent two days in Tamara Negrea National Park, with Amanda and Sally. We staying in a colourful guesthouse, that was painted from top to bottom in bright colours. It was like something about off a fairy tale, although the children there were something out of a nightmare, constantly screaming and tormenting the kittens. During our time at the park we did the canopy walk, which is the highest and longest in the world. It involved walking on planks of wood and ladders, suspended about 45 metres of the ground by netting. Not particuarly scared of heights, but when the ladder starting moving, my heart did start beating fast i must admit. After that we started a 4 hour trek, it turned out to be more like "extreme" trekking. The rain the night before had made the ground extremley slippery, going up was fine, coming down was impossible. We had to use ropes to stop ourselves from falling, i still have the rope burns on my hands! Was great fun!! That evening we did a night Safari. We were a little disappointed not to stop anything amazing, but we did see some wild boar, some cat eyes (although i didn't stop them...too slow), an owl, a grass snake and that was about it!!
